Service Description

This online training is for mental health professionals and students. It’s recommended to have already completed our Neurodiversity 101 course or an equivalent. As part of registering for training, we are assuming you have some basic understanding of BDSM and kink (e.g., you understand the roles of a top and bottom in a scene and the importance of consent and aftercare). National Coalition for Sexual Freedom. https://ncsfreedom.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Kink-Booklet-2024-Final.pdf In this training, you'll - -Review and define what neurodivergent means -Learn about the Neurodiversity Paradigm and related liberatory frameworks -Discover the research about the prevalence of overlap between neurodivergent identities and kinksters -Consider how BDSM functions for neurodivergent individuals and supports authenticity and liberation -Reflect on how to support neurodivergent and kinky clients in affirming, meaningful ways Training occurs on Zoom. A recording will be available for two weeks after the live training.
