Description

I work with individuals who are successful and functioning and used to holding things together on their own. My clients are looking for a place where they can breathe and have permission to not have everything figured out.

I'm a clinical counselor who has been working as a therapist for over 10 years. My experience in the mental health field has been all over the board, but my sweet spot is individual counseling for adults. I'm a provider who likes to work with folks who want to dig deep into the “whys” underneath their thoughts or behaviors. My clients are deeply curious, complex people who are interested in understanding themselves and the world around them more clearly. We’ll work to give you tools and coping skills to address the exacerbation of your symptoms, but this will also be paired with an exploration of the “root system” underneath your concerns to understand how we got to where you are. I love creating space for my clients to make new connections, to let go of past narratives that are no longer serving them, and to step confidently into their future with a greater knowledge, trust, and reliance on themselves and their community.

I specialize in supporting folks as they navigate religious deconstruction and reclamation, adverse religious experiences, and spiritual abuse. As a member of the chronic illness community myself, I also specialize in working with people facing the realities of living with a lifelong illness or condition. Other areas where I work most frequently include anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, and therapy for other therapists.
You'll find me to be approachable and genuine. Former clients would likely tell you I'm validating, warm, and don’t take myself too seriously. We’ll probably laugh a lot in session, but we’ll also be getting a ton of work done. I am passionate about counselor competence and I'm committed to providing excellent care.
