ABOUT ME
As a certified nurse-midwife, I have ten years of experience providing sensitive and affirming primary and sexual/reproductive health care to women, female-assigned, and trans-identified persons across the lifespan. Originally from New York, I obtained my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Nursing at New York University. Prior to coming to Nurture Therapy, I worked in primary and sexual/reproductive health in several Chicago non-profit clinics serving BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, HIV+, and immigrant communities.
Trauma-informed and passionate about mental health, I bring both personal and professional experience to my patients facing anxiety, depression, and difficulties navigating the many challenges of life. Whether you are facing infertility, IVF/assisted reproduction, pregnancy loss, difficult and high-risk pregnancy, anxiety/depression during and after pregnancy, previous trauma, chronic pain, low sexual desire and sexual pain/ dysfunction, unhealthy relationships with food, or midlife changes, I want to support you to be your best self. Drawing on my experience as a clinician and educator, I am passionate about collaborating with people by communicating my knowledge and choosing medications and treatments based on shared decision-making.
I am holistic in my approach to health and well-being and work to provide culturally humble care that is feminist, gender affirming, trauma-informed, anti-racist, sex-positive, sex-work affirming, and fat liberationist. I am a parent/caregiver of two toddlers and identify as a queer, trans/non-binary, neurospicy, fat/ fluffy, polyamorous, kinky, survivor of violence; I promise to provide a safe judgment-free space to any and all persons seeking medication management and support.
